1. What is Biconcave lens?

Double Concave lenses(biconcave lens) are manufactured with two concave surfaces to provide a negative focal length. The lens is also called a negative or diverging lens.

2.What is biconcave lens used for?

These lenses are normally used in applications that require to expand light beams or to increase focal lengths. Such as Beam Expanders, Projection lenses, viewers, Medical Ophthalmic Detection... and so on.

Achromatic Lenses are used to minimize or eliminate chromatic aberration. The achromatic design also helps minimize spherical aberrations. Achromatic Lenses are ideal for a range of applications, including fluorescence microscopy, image relay, inspection, or spectroscopy. Note: Aluminum is the most widely used metal reflection film, from near UV to near IR, have high reflectivity, and with low cost. Silver has higher reflectivity in the visible and near infrared wavelength than the aluminum film, but the silver in the air will be rapid oxidation, color darkening, makes the film performance and firmness declined rapidly. Gold film has a good consistency with high reflectivity in the near, middle and far infrared range, can control the thermal radiation effectively, but it is relatively soft, easy bruising, and should be paid very close attention to clean, and the cost is very high.
